What are you doing with your dash?

Tomorrow is not promised but eternity is…

Mourning has its place, but don’t let sorrow fog your vision. Don’t let grief keep you from the mission. Instead, let it lift your eyes and anchor you with an eternal perspective.

👉🏼Every tear reminds us that time is short.

👉🏼Every loss reminds us what truly matters.

👉🏼Every moment is a gift to point others to Jesus.

We all have an expiration date with an exit ramp:

➡️ eternal life

or

➡️ eternal death

…and there is only One Savior who leads us to life.

Your dash is brief.

Redeem the time.

Live today like eternity is real—because it is.

🫶🏼 Save this for days when you need a reminder to lift your gaze… Share with a friend who might need this encouragement today.

🙏🏼 Jesus, we beckon Your return—for the days we live are like the days of Noah. Yet as we wait, let our lives reflect the only reason we still have breath in our lungs: to tell others of the goodness of our God, here on earth as it is in Heaven! Holy Spirit, lead us—we will follow with reckless abandon, empower us to redeem the time and honor You with our dash. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

📖 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15–16, NKJV)

I’ve been there...

Praying for breakthrough. Declaring scripture. Doing “all the right things”—but still wondering why I felt stuck.

Why wasn’t anything changing?

I thought I was in a spiritual battle with the enemy… and I was.But what I didn’t realize was that part of the fight was with me—with old thoughts, emotions, and mindsets that didn’t want to die.I was agreeing with Truth out loud… but internally? I was still wrestling.

If you’ve ever felt that tension, this is for you.

We pray for breakthrough.

We declare the Word—but still feel stuck.

Why?

Because the battle isn’t just with the enemy.

Sometimes it’s with the parts of us that just don’t want to die.

The lie says:

“This is just how I am.”

“I’ll never change.”

“I’ve always struggled with this.”

But the Truth says:

You are crucified with Christ. It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you. (Gal 2:20)

That means you’re not fighting FOR freedom—you’re fighting to stay in agreement with it.😉

Freedom isn’t found in feelings.

It’s forged in faith… and somedays, our hallelujah is hard fight, but it’s ALWAYS worth it!🙌🏼 God promises to inhabit the praises of His people! When we praise Him, darkness HAS to flee!👊🏼

So today—don’t follow your emotions. Don’t negotiate with your old nature.

Crucify what keeps you bound.

And walk like the door’s already open—because it is. If something stirred in you as you read this—don’t brush it off. That resistance you feel? It might just be the part of you that’s still agreeing with the lie. But freedom is available… right now. Not when you feel it. Not when it makes sense. But when you decide to agree with Truth.

So take the next step.

Download the 5-Day Freedom Devotional and let God meet you there.Because the door isn’t locked—it’s already open. And you were made to walk soar through it!

Do you think about what you’re thinking about?

In Psalm 77, the writer wrestles with deep distress—too overwhelmed to even pray.

He remembers “the good old days,” questions if God has forgotten him, and wonders if His promises have permanently failed - yep, he asks that in verse 8!😬

“BUT THEN…”- it is like his thoughts that were running at lightning speed suddenly stop when he utters these two words:

“BUT THEN I recall all you have done, O Lord…”

He begins to remember.

To ponder God’s faithfulness.

And suddenly, the desperation dissipates, and hope begins to rise!

So it made me ponder - what do I allow myself to aimlessly ponder - unbridled thoughts can so often lead to unbridled emotion, especially when they are not aligned with Truth!😳

QUESTION

What are the thoughts running through your mind like a ticker tape?

Are they rooted in regret, fear, or “what ifs”?

Or are they grounded in the unchanging Truth of who God is, what He has done and what He promises YET to do???

Your mind doesn’t have to stay stuck in what WAS or what MIGHT be. You can choose to shift.

May this serve to remind you (as it did me today) to think what you’re thinking about—and turn it toward Truth.

PRAYER

Lord, help me pause and think about what I’m thinking about. When my mind drifts into fear, regret, or hopelessness, lead me back to truth. Remind me of who You are and what You’ve done. Let Your faithfulness silence my doubts and anchor my thoughts in Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.

🫶🏼If this encouraged you, share it with a friend who could use the reminder too. Let’s help each other shift our minds back to Who God is and What’s He’s done!
